Two years ago, on June 8, 2023, I launched OutInMyLawn.com with a clear mission: to share simple, effective, and affordable lawn care tips. My goal was, and still is, to empower everyday homeowners to take pride in their lawns without breaking the bank. I knew it would be an uphill battle, especially with the sheer volume of lawn care content already out there, from countless YouTube videos to established websites.
A Near Miss
As June 8th approached, the expiration date for OutInMyLawn.com loomed. Honestly, I’d decided to let it go. The primary reason? The traffic just wasn’t there. It was nowhere near what I’d hoped for. But then, something shifted. On June 6th, I checked my site’s stats and noticed it was finally starting to appear in some Google searches. Search engines take their time validating new sites, making sure they’re legitimate and offer valuable content, so this was a promising sign.
The next day, June 7th, the trend continued upward. Later that day, I made a decision: I renewed my hosting plan for another year, one day before it expired! I’m committed to providing even more useful content to improve my search rankings and attract more visitors. It’s a challenge, given the vast amount of information already available, but I’m ready for it. Just like there are many ways to get in shape, there are many paths to a beautiful lawn. I don’t claim to have all the answers, and much of the information I share can be found elsewhere. The real problem, as I see it, is the overwhelming amount of expensive product recommendations out there. My focus will remain on seasonal, targeted lawn care tips to help you achieve fantastic results without shelling out for pricey products.
